RiverMead is seeking a strategic and analytical Director of Financial Operations to support organizational excellence and innovation. Reporting directly to the CFO/COO, this role plays a critical part in providing financial insights, strengthening operational efficiency, and supporting data-driven decision-making across all departments.

You will serve as a key partner to leadership, helping to guide financial planning, reporting, systems optimization, and compliance efforts—while identifying opportunities to improve both financial and operational performance.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide analytical and strategic support to the CFO/COO, Directors, and leadership team 
  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports, including KPIs and variance analysis
  • Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Support implementation and optimization of financial, billing, payroll, HR, and related systems
  • Partner with marketing to assess resident financial qualifications and support contract development
  • Collaborate with HR on staffing analysis, compensation, benefits, and policy recommendations
  • Evaluate organizational systems, policies, and procedures; recommend improvements
  • Work cross-functionally to implement operational and financial efficiency initiatives
  • Review compliance programs and recommend enhancements
  • Support department leaders with financial insights for operational decision-making
  • Engage with frontline staff to identify opportunities for process improvement

Qualifications

 

  •  

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required), Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)

    Experience

    • Relevant experience required to successfully perform in this role

    • Minimum of 3 years in financial analysis or a similar role (preferred)

    • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or non-profit organizations (preferred)

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and leadership skills

    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

    • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and financial analysis

    • Experience with database administration and financial systems

    • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business software; ability to quickly learn new systems

    • Inquisitive, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills

    Licensure & Certifications

    • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or similar credential (preferred)
